Frequently Asked Questions

For Our Camps

We require a minimum of 30 days notice for cancellations or changes. Reservations canceled or changed more than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded minus a 5% cancellation fee. Reservations canceled within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date are responsible for the entire time reserved and will forfeit all payments. All canceled reservations will forfeit 5% of the amount paid for processing fees. We strongly recommend guests secure trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

The full balance of your reservation is due at the time of booking. Should you shorten the length of your reservation within 30 days of arrival or choose an early departure during your stay, you will be responsible for the entire time reserved. We accept most major credit cards.

Due to the location of several of our camps in bear territory strict no food policies are in place. At our Yellowstone camp & Glacier locations food is prohibited in any of our tents. For your safety we recommend that you leave all food in your car and consume it away from the camp itself. It is also worth remembering that at all of our locations if you do consume or leave food in your tent you will attract insects or rodents. Please do feel free to drink in your tent but remove empty bottles or cans from your tents at night.

At camps without food restrictions you can BBQ near your tent. Should you choose to BBQ in camp please make sure to clear up your waste after yourselves. Lit BBQ’s must not be left unattended and must be dowsed with water when finished.

Check-in is from 4pm – 9.30pm and check out is by 10am. If you are interested in checking in earlier, please give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

All our camps are dog friendly. A $25 per pet, per stay additional cleaning fee will be added to your reservation. We politely request that dogs are not ever left unattended in our tents and that whilst at camp they kept on a leash for the safety and protection of our other guests. Please also clean up after your pet!

Camp cots in our tipis or as additional cots in the tents are not suitable for people weighing more than 300lbs or who are more than 6′ 2.

All of our camps are in stunning locations and it is highly likely you may well see some wildlife. Bears of course are amazing to watch but are dangerous if they are too close. The camp has a strict no food policy so as not to attract bears into the camp. In order to ensure our guests are safe a member of staff will be on site at all times should there be any problems. The safety of our guests is our utmost priority so you can relax in the safety and beauty of the camp without worry.

There is no electricity throughout the Camp. Solar pathway lighting will allow you the opportunity to take in a 1,000 star hotel room! That’s glamping! The Milky Way is phenomenal from all our locations. That said, your tent will come equipped with lanterns for an evening glow and the communal bathrooms are lit all night. A charging station is available in reception for the electronics you absolutely cannot live without.

Absolutely. All our camps were designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of room to run and be free (ever mindful of on site water, of course).  In each town close to our locations there are numerous activities and attractions (beyond the National Parks themselves) for young and old to enjoy alike. By all means give us a call to ask for recommendations if you’d like them.

We absolutely recommend that you make reservations as the summer is a very busy time! We are happy to make all your reservations for you and schedule your itinerary so just give us a call or email us.

Due to the remote locations and frequent high altitude of our camps the weather can be very unpredictable. Do check the weather forecast before you arrive so you can make sure to pack appropriately. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, our areas can put on a fire ban and fires therefore will not permitted. Therefore it would be wise to come prepared for colder evenings particularly if using your wood stove becomes impossible due to fire restrictions.

Unlike a normal hotel room noise from your tent will carry across our camp. We respectfully ask therefore that from 11pm all our guests would respect each other and keep noise to an absolute minimum. If guests are found to be too noisy or disruptive after 11pm you will be asked to quieten down or leave the camp. No refunds will be issued if guests are required to be removed from the camp.
