For Our Camps

Spatial distancing is a breeze at our expansive, outdoor properties. To ensure the well-being of our guests and associates we have modified our operations to help you access the great outdoors comfortably and safely. See our procedural changes here.

We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Our camps all have plant-based EO®️ bath products in both the private and public restrooms. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries as we do not have any for sale at the camp.

Of course! We provide all bedding including luxuriously soft sheets, pillows down comforters and blankets. Need additional blankets on a chilly night? We’ve got you covered!

We have full-size camp cots for an additional $25 per night for children under 18. One additional cot may be added to all tent types besides our Kids Tents and Safari with 3 Twin tents.

The shared bathhouses are in a separate building that feature fully private, lockable rooms with a hot-water shower, sink and flushing toilet. They are conveniently located a short 1-2 minute walk from the Safari tents. Our shared restrooms are regularly maintained and sanitized.

Each of our camps* offer locally inspired café-style dining at additional cost. Enjoy our seasonally-rotating breakfast, lunch and dinner options at our restaurant, Embers. Check out a sample seasonal food and beverage menu here.

*Please note that our Moab and Glacier locations do not offer dining, but do offer first-come, first-serve grills for personal use in our common grilling areas. Grab-n-go provisions are also offered in the lobby marketplace.

Dining is first-come, first-serve. Reservations are not required. Dining with a large group? Please let our staff know in advance so that we may best accommodate your needs.

There is something for everyone on our menu including vegetarian choices, gluten-free options, and nightly specials.

Breakfast: 7-10 AM.

Lunch items provided are grab-and-go and must be pre-ordered the night prior by 9 PM at select camps.

Dinner: 5-10 PM.

Disclaimer: For health and safety reasons, we do not allow food inside your tents. We ask that you keep all food in a locked vehicle. Beverages of any kind are permitted in the tents.

    • Lake Powell-Grand Staircase: 10 minute drive to Grand Saircase-Escalante National Monument, 20 minute drive to Lake Powell Wahweap Bay Marina, 30 minute drive to Horseshoe Bend.
    • Glacier: 10 minute drive to the West entrance of Glacier National Park.
    • Grand Canyon: 25 minute drive to the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park.
    • Great Smoky Mountains: 20 minute drive to the main entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
    • Moab: 5 minute drive to the main entrance of Arches National Park and 20 minute drive to Canyonlands National Park.
    • Mount Rushmore: 10 minute drive to the Mount Rushmore monument, with views from camp!
    • Yellowstone: 10 minute drive to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
    • Zion: 25 minute drive from the main entrance of Zion National Park.

Park Passes can be purchased at the entry gate to the National Park. We do not sell them but we can always give recommendations on things to do in the park! Please see below for more information about park entry.

We do not provide shuttles at any of our locations. We advise our guests take advantage of our partnership with SilverCar by Audi so you can enjoy a 30% discount on luxury car rentals from participating cities and airports. Where not yet available, we recommend you rent a car. This will be the quickest way to get to Under Canvas locations and will allow you to explore the nearby national parks and surrounding area on your own time.

Check-in: 3 PM – 1 AM.

Check-out: 10 AM.

Arriving late? No problem. Simply let us know so we can make note on your reservation. We do have staff available 24 hours a day for your convenience. Check out is by 10 AM. We cannot accommodate late check-outs.

Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tent which means no mini fridge or coffee maker. However, there are battery powered fans & lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least 2 cell phones. If you need a powered battery for a CPAP or medical device just let us know in advance of your stay, so that we can request one. Powered batteries are available on a first come first served basis.

Yes, we use solar pathway lighting around camp but make an effort to limit light pollution at our eco-conscious locations, which allows you to take in your 1,000 star hotel room! The view of the Milky Way Galaxy is stunning from all of our locations. There are also lights on the reception tent, the shared bathrooms and all tents have USB-powered lanterns for use inside and outside the tent.

Yes, camp maps are available online at the bottom of each camp page. Use the navigation menu above to find your specific camp map. Please note that we do not guarantee camp sites, although requests can be made.

The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up with both an inner mesh netting, and an additional canvas exterior shell. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports, etc. with you or in a locked vehicle.

Our camp staff is available and monitoring our family-friendly camps 24 hours a day. Our staff is equipped with radios for site-to-lobby communication. We’re here to make your glamping experience comfortable, safe, and relaxing! Quiet hours are enforced after 11 PM.

Yes, dogs are welcome! We have a $25 fee per pet, per night. Service animals are welcome, free of charge. We ask that they are please kept on a leash and the owner cleans up after them. Pets are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time.

We do require payment in full on the date of booking to confirm your reservation.

We offer a 95% refund if cancelled by 30 days prior to check in date.

*After these dates the full amount paid becomes non-refundable.

We can provide one camp cot with bedding for children 18 and younger for $25 per night. Larger families are encouraged to enjoy the convenience of our tents which include an adjacent Kids Tent.

Pack-n-play cribs may be added to any tent style at no additional cost.

In order to provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits that are lit between 7 pm and 11 pm nightly. We also provide complimentary s’mores & roasting supplies. After all, what would glamping be without s’mores?!

Each tent is equipped with a wood burning stove for heating the inside of your tent at nights.

At Under Canvas we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any WiFi at any of our locations.

Filming and photo shoots require advance approvals. Location fees and proof of insurance may be required. Please contact marketing@undercanvas.com.
For safety reasons, recreational drone use by any guest or member of the public is not permitted on or over any of our properties. Likewise, commercial use is also prohibited, except in limited circumstances when an approved operator has received written permission from the marketing team. This includes use associated with special events, marketing and in film/photo applications.

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles and a USB cell phone charging cord to use with the USB battery packs in your tent. Rain jackets are also advised, just in case! But not to worry, our tents are fully weatherized and are capable of handling common rainstorms! There are central parking lots throughout the camps. The tents are accessible via a foot path. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with a golf cart or request a tent closer to the parking lots for you.

All tent types besides our Kids Tents have a wood burning stove. Kids’ tents are not equipped with a heating element. Wood is provided, along with a firestarter and matches. The stoves do help heat the tent quite a bit, but if you are traveling during the colder months, you may want to pack some warm clothes to ensure maximum comfort. If you have any trouble getting the fire started, feel free to reach out to our camp staff for assistance!

Our tents do not have air conditioning. If you are visiting in the summer please keep this in mind. They do have USB fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little. If you are traveling with small children or the elderly it may not be the best fit during peak-heat summer months.

Our Yellowstone camp is the only location with a hot tub and pool available to use at our neighboring property, The Bar N Ranch.
All other locations do not have a pool so we advise looking into the closest town for a public pool or watering holes!

There are times when a minimum night stay in implemented. These minimums are non-negotiable and cannot be overidden.

Most guests book multiple nights in order to enjoy our dreamy beds, stunning views and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

Yes! We offer a 10% discount to active and former members of the military, United States Government employees,  and AARP. Please call 888-496-1148 to redeem. Proper ID must be shown at check-in.

Absolutely! We offer the complimentary addition of a pack’n’play to any tent style. Kids under 18 may also enjoy our camp cots with bedding (pillow, blankets, and a foam mattress topper for some added comfort!) for an additional $25 charge per night. Just let us know what you’d like to add and we’ll make your tent as cozy as possible for your little ones!

Please note that cots and pack’n’plays are subject to availability.

Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 11pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others. Please note that at Under Canvas Mount Rushmore, quiet hours begin at 10pm.

Please be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. Due to the remote locations and frequent high altitude of our camps, the weather can be unpredictable. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, a fire ban can be in effect for a specific location. We recommend that you come prepared for colder evenings, particularly if using your wood stove becomes impossible due to fire restrictions.

Our tents travel throughout the continental US and Canada, and we have bases in New York, Montana, and California. You tell us where your event is, and we’ll get our tents there!

It will depend on the event location and the rental volume. Shipping costs are quoted as a round-trip.

Yes. In order to secure your booking we require a 50% non-refundable event deposit. The full balance of your order must be paid 30 days before your event.
