Do you provide towels and toiletries?
We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand sanitizer. Our camps all have plant-based EO®️ bath products and hand sanitizer in both the private and public restrooms. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries, as we do not have any for sale at the camp.

Do you provide bedding?
Of course! We provide all bedding, including luxuriously soft sheets, pillows, down comforters, and blankets. Need additional blankets on a chilly night? We’ve got you covered! Simply ask a Guest Experience Coordinator in the lobby tent.

Can I add a camp cot to my tent?
Full-size camp cots are available for an additional $25 per night for children under 18. One additional cot may be added to all tent types, with the exception of Kids’ Tents and Safari Tents. Contact our reservations team to add a camp cot to your stay.

What are the shared bathrooms like? How many people share them?
The shared bathhouses are in separate buildings and feature fully private, lockable rooms. In keeping with our Mindful Approach, the bath areas feature eco-conscious amenities such pull-chain showers with limited hot water, sinks that automatically shut off, and low-flow flush toilets. They are conveniently located a short one- to two-minute walk from the Safari Tents. Our shared restrooms are regularly maintained and sanitized.

What are the food options? Are meals included?
Most of our camps* offer locally inspired, café-style dining for an additional cost. Enjoy seasonally rotating breakfast and dinner options(ranging from salads to burgers to roasted trout) at our on-site restaurant. There is something for everyone on our menu, including vegetarian choices, gluten-free options, and nightly specials. Check out a sample food and beverage menu.
Freshly prepared grab-and-go lunch items—such as parfaits, sandwiches, and salads—are offered at all camps* throughout the day. Grab something to fuel you during your outdoor adventure or enjoy it at our dining area at camp.
*Under Canvas Moab does not offer dining or grab-n-go breakfast/lunch items, but does offer first-come, first-serve grills for personal use in our common grilling area. Grab-n-go snacks are offered in the lobby marketplace.
*Under Canvas Glacier offers fast-casual, locally inspired dishes at Embers Café. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner items ranging from fruit parfaits and wraps to fresh salads, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards.
Start your morning with a latte or specialty coffee and enjoy unlimited cups of complimentary coffee throughout the day.
*Under Canvas West Yellowstone offers espresso beverages in the restaurant ONLY

Dining in a large group? Please let our staff know in advance so that we may best accommodate your needs.
Breakfast: 7 – 10 a.m.
Lunch: Grab-and-go is offered all day
Dinner: 5 – 10 p.m. at all camp locations, with the exception of Under Canvas Acadia, Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains, and Under Canvas Mount Rushmore, which serve dinner from 5 – 9 p.m.
Disclaimer: For health and safety reasons, we do not allow food inside your tents. We ask that you keep all food in a locked vehicle. Beverages of any kind are permitted in the tents.

How far away is the entrance to the National Park?

Do you provide park passes?
Park Passes can be purchased at the entry gate to the National Park. We do not sell them but we can always give recommendations on things to do in the park! Please see below for more information about park entry.

Do you provide shuttles from the airport?
We do not provide shuttles at any of our locations. We recommend you rent a car. This will be the quickest way to get to Under Canvas locations and will allow you to explore the nearby national parks and surrounding area on your own time.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in: 3 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Arriving late? No problem. Simply let us know so we can make a note on your reservation. We have staff available 24 hours a day for your convenience.
Check-out: 10 a.m.
Check out is by 10 a.m. We cannot accommodate late check-outs.

Is there electricity in the tents?
In order to provide an experience that allows guests to disconnect and feel truly immersed in nature, and to minimize the use of precious resources, there is no electricity or outlets in the tents. However, there are battery-powered fans and lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least two cell phones. USB-C charging adaptors are available upon request on a first-come, first-serve basis. Be sure to bring your own charging cable if you require anything other than a USB. If you need a powered battery for a CPAP or medical device, just let us know in advance of your stay so that we can request one. Powered batteries are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is the camp lit at night?
Yes, we use solar pathway lighting around camp but make an effort to limit light pollution at our eco-conscious locations so you can enjoy the uniquely star-filled night sky. The view of the Milky Way is stunning from all of our locations. There are also lights on the lobby tent and the shared bathrooms, and all tents have USB-powered lanterns for use inside and outside the tent.

Are maps available for each camp?
Yes, camp maps are available on the website, at the bottom of each camp page. Use the navigation menu above to find your specific camp map. (Please note that we do not guarantee camp sites, although requests can be made.)

Can I lock the tent?
The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up with both an inner mesh netting, and an additional canvas exterior shell. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports, etc. with you or in a locked vehicle.

How safe is the camp?
Our camp staff is available and monitoring our family-friendly camps 24 hours a day. Our staff is equipped with radios for site-to-lobby communication. We’re here to make your glamping experience comfortable, safe, and relaxing! Quiet hours are enforced after 10 p.m..

Are you pet friendly?
We only allow dogs. We have a $25 fee per dog, per night. Service animals are welcome, free of charge. We ask that you please keep your dog on a leash, clean up after them, and do not leave them unattended in your tent at any time.

How do I book an adventure?
After booking a stay at your Under Canvas location of choice, our Adventure Concierge will reach out to help you get an adventure on the books. No need to reach out in advance. Please visit our adventures page for details on adventures offered at each location. If you have questions, please reach out to adventures@undercanvas.com.

What is your cancellation policy?
You have up until 30 days prior to your arrival date to cancel for a 100% refund. Cancellations made within the 30 day window prior to your arrival date are non-refundable. This cancellation policy applies to your tent and any add-ons/enhancements you book. Early departures or no shows will still be chargeable at their full rate. Cold or inclement weather will not permit refund for cancellation, unless the company deems the conditions make staying with us unsafe.
To protect your stay at Under Canvas, we highly suggest purchasing travel insurance.

How are additional people accommodated in the tents with one king bed?
We can provide one camp cot with bedding for children under 18 for $25 per night. Larger families are encouraged to enjoy the convenience of our tents that offer adjacent Kids’ Tents.
Pack-n-play cribs may be added to any tent type at no additional cost.
Reach out to our reservations team to add a camp cot or pack-n-play to your reservation based on availability.

Are there fire pits outside each tent?
In order to provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits that are lit between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. each night. We also provide complimentary s’mores and roasting supplies. After all, what would glamping be without s’mores?!
Each tent is equipped with a wood-burning stove for heating the inside of your tent at night.

Is there Wi-Fi?
At Under Canvas we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any Wi-Fi at any of our locations.

Will my cell phone work at camp?
The quality of coverage can vary based on location and service provider. We suggest checking the coverage map of your service provider.

Can I do filming or photography at camp?
Filming and photo shoots require advance approval. Location fees and proof of insurance may be required. Please contact marketing@undercanvas.com.
For safety reasons, recreational drone use by any guest or member of the public is not permitted on or over any of our properties. Likewise, commercial use is also prohibited, except in limited circumstances when an approved operator has received written permission from the Marketing team. This includes use associated with special events, marketing, and film/photo applications.

What should I pack?
Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles and a USB cell phone charging cord to use with the USB battery packs in your tent. Rain jackets are also advised, just in case! But not to worry, our tents are fully weatherized and are capable of handling common rainstorms. Can we park in front of our tent?
There are central parking lots throughout the camps. The tents are accessible via a foot path. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with a golf cart or request a tent closer to the parking lots for you.

Which tents come with wood burning stove?
All tent types besides our Kids Tents have a wood-burning stove. (Note: Kids Tents are not equipped with a heating element.) Wood is provided, along with a firestarter and matches. The stoves do help heat the tent quite a bit, but if you are traveling during the colder months, you may want to pack some warm clothes to ensure maximum comfort. If you have any trouble getting the fire started, feel free to reach out to our camp staff for assistance!
Our Yosemite location offers in-tent heaters and heated blankets instead of wood-burning stoves.

Do the tents have air conditioning?
Our tents do not have air conditioning. If you are visiting in the summer please keep this in mind. They do have USB fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little.

Do you have a pool or hot tub at the camp?
Our locations do not have a pool or hot tub.

Is there a minimum stay?
There are times when a minimum nights’ stay is implemented. These minimums are non-negotiable and cannot be overridden.
Most guests book multiple nights in order to enjoy our dreamy beds, stunning views and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

Do you have any discounts?
We offer a 10% discount to active AARP and military members. Please call 888-496-1148 to redeem. Proper identification will be confirmed during check-in. If no ID is presented during check-in, guests will not be eligible for the discount and will be charged the full reservation amount.

Are kids allowed? Do you have bedding for a baby?
Absolutely! We offer the complimentary addition of a pack-n-play to any tent type. Kids under 18 can stay on a camp cot with bedding (pillow, blankets, and a foam mattress topper for some added comfort) for an additional $25 per night. Just let us know what you’d like to add and we’ll make your tent as cozy as possible for your little ones!
Please note that cots and pack-n-plays are subject to availability.

Do you have quiet hours?
Quiet hours are enforced by Under Canvas staff between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

What do I do if I left something at camp?
If you’ve left something behind during your stay, go to www.ileftmystuff.com to report your missing item(s). Each camp has a unique client identification number that you will need to report and search for your lost item.

What is the weather like?
Please be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. Due to the remote locations and high altitudes of many of our camps, the weather can be unpredictable. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, a fire ban can be in effect for a specific location. We recommend that you come prepared for colder evenings, particularly if using your wood stove becomes impossible due to fire restrictions.

What are the en suite bathrooms like?
The in-tent bathrooms are designed with Under Canvas’ Mindful Approach in mind. They are fully equipped with pull-chain showers with limited hot water, faucets that automatically shut off, low-flow flush toilets, and refreshing E.O. bath products.

Are reservations required for dining service at Under Canvas?
No, reservations are not required. All café-style seating is first-come first-serve, and available for Under Canvas guests only.
