For Our Camps

We provide towels, shampoo and body wash. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries as we do not have any for sale at the camp.

Of course! We provide all bedding including sheets, pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. We’ve got you covered! We also have full size camp cots that can sleep anyone up to 6’ 2” and 300 lbs.

The shared bathrooms are in a separate building that features 6 individual bathrooms. Each bathroom is fully private with a hot shower, sink & flushing toilet. Keep in mind these are shared with other guests but there is usually one available when you need it! It’s only a 1- 2 minute walk from the tents.

Yellowstone

Breakfast is included in your nightly rate. Your complimentary breakfast is served at our neighboring property, The Bar N Ranch. The Bar N offers a lunch to go as well as a delicious dinner menu. These meals are not included in your nightly rate. We are less than 10-minute drive to West Yellowstone where there are restaurants & grocery stores. We have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Other than meals offered at the Bar N Restaurant, we do not have any food at the camps for purchase.

*Please note you are NOT allowed to have ANY food inside your tents, beverages ONLY. We ask you to keep all food in a locked vehicle. Our camp is located in bear country. For your safety, food consumption is allowed in communal grill areas of the camp only.

Glacier

We do have a breakfast & lunch menu. We work with a local restaurant that delivers to the front desk each day based on our orders placed the night before. Meals are not included
and paid upon purchase. Otherwise, we are just 5 minutes away from West Glacier where there are a few restaurants. We also have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Other than breakfast and lunch deliveries, we do not have any food at the camps for purchase.

*Please note you are NOT allowed to have ANY food inside your tents, beverages ONLY. We ask you to keep all food in a locked vehicle. Our camp is located in bear country. For your safety, food consumption is allowed in communal grill areas of the camp only. If food is found to have been consumed inside your tent there will be a $100 fine.

Moab

We do have a breakfast & lunch menu. We work with a local restaurant that delivers to the front desk each day based on our orders placed the night before. Meals are not included
and paid upon purchase. We are just 10 minutes away from Moab where there are restaurants and grocery stores. We have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Please note we try to minimize food consumption in the tents. You may enjoy beverages. Otherwise, to protect the camp from critters please keep all food inside a locked vehicle.

Zion

We have a restaurant on site that is open for breakfast & dinner! They also have a small sack lunch menu that can be ready to-go if the order is placed the day before. Meals are not included and are paid for upon purchase. Otherwise, we are just 10 minutes from Virgin and 25 minutes from Springdale where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores.

*Other than meals offered at the Embers Restaurant, we do not sell any food at the camps for purchase. We also have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Please note we try to minimize food consumption in the tents. You may enjoy beverages. Otherwise, to protect the camp from critters please keep all food inside a locked vehicle.

  • Yellowstone: 10 minute drive to West entrance of Yellowstone National Park
  • Glacier: 10 minute drive to West entrance of Glacier National Park
  • Moab: About 5 minute drive to main entrance of Arches National Park and 20 minute drive
  • from Canyonlands National Park

  • Zion: About 25 minutes from main entrance to Zion National Park

Park Passes can be purchased at the entry gate to the National Park. We do not sell them but we can always give recommendations on things to do in the park!

  • Yellowstone: Bozeman, MT (2 hours away) or Jackson, WY (2 hours away)
  • Glacier: Kalispell, MT (40 minutes away)
  • Moab: Salt Lake City, UT (3 hours away) or Grand Junction, CO (1 hour 45 mins away)
  • Zion: Las Vegas, NV (3 hours away) or St. George, UT (45 minutes away)

We do not provide shuttles at any of our locations. We advise our guests to rent a car. This will allow guests to get to the camp and explore the area.

Check in is between 3 pm – 1 am. Although, our staff is there 24 hours a day. If you think you will be arriving after 10 pm just let us know so we can make note on your reservation. Check out is by 10 am.

Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tent which means no mini fridge or coffee maker. However, there are battery powered fans & lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least 2 cell phones. If you need a generator for a CPAP or medical device just let us know in advance of your stay, so that we can request one. CPAP is available on a first come first served basis.

Yes, solar pathway lighting allows you to take in your 1,000 star hotel room! That’s glamping! The Milky way galaxy is stunning at all of our camps. That being said, there are lights on the reception tent, the shared bathrooms and your tent also has lanterns for your use inside and outside the tent.

The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up so you can close them when you leave. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports…etc with you or in a locked vehicle.

Our staff is on site 24 hours a day. We are there to help make your glamping experience comfortable & safe. The staff make the rounds at the camp and help reinforce quiet hours after 11 pm.

Yes, all 4 legged friends are welcome! We have a one time $25 pet fee per pet. We ask they arekept on a leash and the owner cleans up after them on the campground. Pet are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time.

We do require payment in full on the date of booking to confirm your reservation.

  • Yellowstone: 95% refund if cancelled by 30 days prior to check in date
  • Glacier: 95% refund if cancelled by 14 days prior to check in date
  • Moab: 95% refund if cancelled by 7 days prior to check in date
  • Zion: 95% refund if cancelled by 7 days prior to check in date

*After these dates the full amount paid becomes non-refundable. We recommend purchasing our
travel insurance at the time of booking if you are concerned about possible last minute cancellation.

We can provide two camp cots with bedding at no additional charge. If you have a tent with Tipi and exceed 4 people we charge an additional $25 per person per night.

In order to provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits that are list between 7 pm and 11 pm nightly. We also provide complimentary Smore’s & roasting materials! What would glamping be without Smore’s?

At Under Canvas we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any wifi at our camps.

The quality of coverage can vary based on location. We suggest checking with your cell phone service provider.

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles and cell phone chargers that have a USB end to charge in the base of your tent lanterns.

There are central parking lots throughout the camp. The tents are accessible by a foot path. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with a golf cart or request a tent closer to the parking lots for you.

Our Safari tents with a king bed, Deluxe, Stargazer, Treehouse and Suite tents all have a wood burning stove. We do provide wood for you. The stoves do help heat the tent quite a bit but if you are travelling during the cold months, you may still want to pack some warm clothes.

Our tents do not have air conditioning. If you are visiting in the summer please keep this in mind. They do have solar powered fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little. If you have small children or elderly it may not be the best fit in the middle of summer.

Our Yellowstone camp is the only location with a hot tub and pool available to use at our neighboring property, The Bar N Ranch.
All other camps do not have a pool so we advise looking into the closest town for a public pool!

All activities are subject to the availability of each tour company, so we absolutely recommend booking them 1 – 4 weeks in advance at least! Especially if you’re travelling in the summer during peak season. There are numerous activities and attractions (beyond the National Parks themselves) for young and old to enjoy near each one of our locations. There is no minimum night stay. Most guests book multiple nights in order to enjoy our dreamy beds, stunning views and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

We do not have any discounts at this time but we advise to keep checking back throughout the year when we occasionally run specials!

Absolutely! All our camps were designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of room to run and be free (ever mindful of on-site water, of course). We do have cribs, pack n’ plays and camp cots withsleeping bags for sleeping. Just let us know what you need and we can have it ready for you!

Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 11 pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others.

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. Due to the remote locations and frequent high altitude of our camps the weather can be very unpredictable. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, a fire ban can be in effect for a specific location. We recommend that you come prepared for colder evenings, particularly if using your wood stove becomes impossible due to fire restrictions.

All of our prices are custom based on the event location, number of units rented, number of rental types and time of year. Just email or call us and we’ll put a custom quote together for you.

Our tents travel throughout the continental US and Canada, and we have bases in New York, Montana, and California. You tell us where your event is, and we’ll get our tents there!

It will depend on the event location and the rental volume.  Shipping costs are quoted as a round trip.

Yes. In order to secure your booking we require a 50% non-refundable event deposit. The full balance of your order must be paid 30 days before your event.
