Bryce Canyon National Park offers a free shuttle service that stops at all the popular trail heads and attractions.

  • The shuttle is free with park admission
  • Buses typically arrive at each stop every 15 minutes, but with the new Bryce Canyon Shuttle Tracker you can time your next ride to the minute.
  • The best place to board the shuttle is before you enter the park, at the Shuttle Station in Bryce Canyon City (Stop 1), or at the Visitor Center (Stop 6).
  • The best place to park your car is at the Shuttle Station in Bryce Canyon City or the Additional Parking lot across from the Visitor Center.

Tips To Make Your Visit More Enjoyable:

  • Beat the Crowds: Visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon for fewer crowds and stunning light for photography.
  • Stay Hydrated: Fill up your water bottles at the Visitor Center and other water stations throughout the park.
  • Layer Up: Weather can change quickly, so wear layers and bring a hat and sunscreen.
  • Stay on Trails: Stick to designated trails to protect the fragile environment and ensure your safety.

Under Canvas Bryce Canyon FAQs

  • Are dogs allowed in Bryce Canyon National Park?

Dogs are allowed in the national park but only in parking lots, on paved roads, paved viewpoint areas, on the Rim Trail between Sunset Point and Sunrise Point, on the shared use trail between the park entrance and Inspiration Point and must be leashed. You may not leave your pet in the car while you hike. If you would like to explore similar landscapes and hike with your dog check out the nearby Red Canyon. Check out our blog on the best things to do with dogs around Bryce Canyon National Park.

  • Can you drive through Bryce Canyon?

Yes. The main park road is 18 miles long – from the entrance at the northern end of the park to Rainbow Point and Yovimpa Point at the southern end of the park. The Bryce Canyon Amphitheater area is located along the road’s first three miles and offers a variety of popular hiking trails. The next 15 miles (known as Southern Scenic Drive) feature nine scenic overlooks that display varying landscapes throughout the park.

  • How far is Zion National Park from Bryce Canyon National Park?

Zion National Park is an 80-mile drive or about an hour and a half away from Bryce Canyon National Park.

  • Do the tents have air conditioning?

Our tents do not have air conditioning. If you are visiting in the summer please keep this in mind. They do have USB fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little.

  • Is there electricity in the tents?

In order to provide an experience that allows guests to disconnect and feel truly immersed in nature, and to minimize the use of precious resources, there is no electricity or outlets in the tents. However, there are battery-powered fans and lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least two cell phones. USB-C charging adaptors are available upon request on a first-come, first-serve basis. Be sure to bring your own charging cable if you require anything other than a USB. If you need a powered battery for a CPAP or medical device, just let us know in advance of your stay so that we can request one. Powered batteries are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Is there Wi-Fi?

At Under Canvas we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any Wi-Fi at any of our locations.

Want to unplug, be present, and unwind? Check out our Camp Programming page for an example list of on-site activities that may be offered during your stay.

  • What is the weather like in Bryce Canyon

Before arriving, please check the weather forecast and pack accordingly for a range of conditions. Bryce Canyon’s high elevation often brings cooler temperatures and unpredictable weather. During particularly dry seasons, a fire ban may be in effect for this area. We recommend coming prepared for colder nights, as fire restrictions may limit the use of wood stoves.
