Here, you can access the Zion Canyon Shuttle for a guided tour and hop on and off to explore trailheads and sights like the Angel’s Landing, Emerald Pools, and The Narrows. We’ve got you covered with the perfect three-day itinerary suggested based on programming below so that you can make the most of your stay at Under Canvas Zion!
Day One: Hike the Narrows
Morning: A visit to Zion National Park isn’t complete without stepping foot in the Virgin River as it runs between the canyon’s soaring sandstone walls that tower over you. The Narrows is a 15.5-mile hike that can be done in a day, or you can even do sections of the trail if you are feeling like a shorter hike. You can also rent gaiters and hiking poles from a local outfitter before your hike to ensure your feet don’t get wet!
Because this hike will take you most of the day, be sure to snag a grab and go lunch from Under Canvas Zion before you head out for the day! When you stop for lunch, marvel at the vast canyon walls above you!
Evening: After a full day of hiking, head back to Under Canvas Zion to indulge in al fresco dining, and sip on a local craft beer paired with complimentary s’mores around the campfire before retreating to your safari-inspired tent.
Tip: Be sure to check the activities board for programming the next day. Complimentary guided yoga is one of our favorite activities to take part in!
Day Two: Photograph Canyon Overlook
Morning: Wake up in your safari-style tent and soak up the desert surroundings from the comfort of your private deck or grab a Bluestone Lane espresso beverage of your choosing. After breakfast and coffee, head over to our yoga deck for a complimentary, guided yoga flow! Once you’ve got your caffeine fix and morning stretching in, you’ll be ready to kick off your day of exploring around Zion National Park.
Afternoon: Take the shuttle into Zion National Park, and embark on a short 1-mile hike to Canyon Overlook. This overlook offers spectacular views that are a photographer’s dream. The easy-to-reach, popular hike offers a signature view of the thousand-foot-deep red rock canyon and the Great Arch.
Evening: After a relaxing day spent in the national park, head back to Under Canvas Zion to enjoy our nightly programing and al fresco dining, while you take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding canyon. Don’t be surprised if you see some cows roaming through camp!
Day Three: Hike Angels Landing and Stop at Emerald Pools
Morning: If you are up for another hike, make sure to get a permit for Angel’s Landing. This must-see landmark rewards you with a marvelous view of Zion Canyon. But only if you’re willing to hike 5.4 miles across a strenuous, rocky trail. Don’t worry though, our guided hikes make seeing Angel’s Landing stress-free.
Afternoon: After you finish up your hike at Angels Landing, you can stop at the base for a quick lunch. If you are still in the mood for a little walking, you can’t miss the opportunity to see the Emerald Pools.
A quick, three-mile walk on Emerald Pools Trail will lead you past various park landmarks to tranquil waterfalls that are fed by three different pools. For a more difficult hike with a better view, climb up to the middle or upper pools and look out over Zion Canyon!
Evening: Take the shuttle out of the park and stop for a brew at Zion Brewery, right outside the entrance of Zion National Park. This is a relaxing spot with tasty burgers, handcrafted ales and local beers, plus outdoor seating and live music. After you finish up dinner, head back to Under Canvas Zion for your last night of complimentary s’mores and the best stargazing outside of Zion!
