Protecting the Night Sky
In 2020, we began to work with DarkSky International, the global authority on light pollution, to set the standard in the industry by enhancing our sky quality, minimizing our lighting impact, and educating others on the importance of protecting the night sky.
In August 2023, Under Canvas Lake Powell – Grand Staircase became the first-ever DarkSky-certified lodging property in the world. Today, all five Grand Circle camps in the Under Canvas collection, plus ULUM Moab are DarkSky-certified.
