  • What is the weather like in Mount Rushmore?

Before your trip, please review the weather forecast and pack appropriately for a range of conditions. Mount Rushmore’s location and elevation can result in unpredictable weather. During particularly dry periods, a fire ban may be implemented in the area. We recommend being ready for cooler evenings, as fire restrictions could prevent the use of wood stoves.
